No, you see--yes, it is Saturday, but I did this yesterday, and so I thought I might be allowed to sleep in today...ah, well. No rest for the wicked, I suppose.

Good morning, dearest listeners, and welcome to another day's news courtesy of our drunken squirrel friends! I remain Miss Lydia Bennet, here to share with you all of yesterday's happenings that the squirrels bothered to notice. Let's crack on with it, shall we?

At the school, Driver's Education drove sleighs and Weather and Storms discussed what they'd learned over the semester. I've nothing from the dormitory, sad porg is sad, on to the town, where Mr. Henry of Skalitz was hard at work at the forge, whilst at Needful Things Dr. Quinn made the most of her temporary antlers by decorating them--oh, brilliant idea, I wish I had thought of doing that--and was joined by Dr. Isley for luncheon. Miss Skywalker was hard at work in her warehouse, whilst Mr. Rand stopped by to visit the Perk, and finally, things at The Devil's Nest were appropriately festive, with Mr. Morningstar playing holiday tunes upon the piano. How lovely! Until next week, dear listeners--and do try to provide me with some gossip by then, hmm? Farewell!

No, I--you seem to be confused; today is Friday, not--oh, just give me the notes. There's no use arguing with you; I have certainly learned that.

Good morning, everyone, and it is I, Miss Lydia Bennet, here with all the squirrelly news of yesterday to report. My request for gossip does not seem to have been indulged, but we shall muddle through regardless, starting with the school, where Food Adventures explored India and its many spices and baking class made biscuits, which you Americans insist upon calling 'cookies.' At the library, Miss Belle had quite a lot of latkes, which seemed to be a common occurrence yesterday, I must say.

I've nothing from the dormitory, but in town Lord Thor advised...someone to pass all of their students at the Devil's Nest, and further abroad the Supper Club visited a Christmas market in Baltimore. You do know you're all welcome to join us any Thursday on one of our little adventures, I do hope! That brings me to the end of my notes, so I shall bid you farewell until--well, probably until tomorrow. We shall see.

I know this is a place where food just falls from the sky, but have you considered not eating the closet pancakes?

*chittering*

I don't know why I even asked. just...notes.

Finals week continued up at the School, with Space Pirates, Pirates In Spacebeing attacked by 'enemies', while in the Library Arden had to deal with pryomaniac gremlins and Gray telling her about Raiden's missing meat.

The Dorms were quiet, while in Town, Gray was anti-candle at Over Easy, while Adrian was pro-candle and pro-cookie at Pick Your Posion. Rey and Pam both got cookies, though only one of them also got kisses.

Welcome to another Wednesday. Hopefully nothing is on fire. There are so many candles. So many. And so many squirrel tails in here with so many candles…

Right. Let’s start with the notes from the school. There was a snowball fight for Reclaming Your Childhood. Diplomacy had to deal with a fake and terrible party thrown by Anakin. I would expect a party from Anakin to be terrible. And then we had a meal open to everyone in my Dealing With Other People’s Trauma class. I have leftovers if anyone is hungry. Maybe I should ask Raiden…

And I have nothing from the dorms and the porg is not on fire yet and neither are any squirrels. Somehow.

And now, the notes from the town. Erasmus was judging the flamingos in the park. That seems fair. Arden was also judging them for being bullies. And Henry was taking his horse for a walk and Erasmus met the horse. Who is named Pebbles and did not bite. Kitty looked at the tiny town on Selkie Peak before heading to Caritas and dealing with Tino who was decorating the bull. Oh dear.

That seems to be all. Enjoy the candles. Try not to set anything on fire.

What up, Fandom. It's me, ya girl Arden Finch coming at you with a new day's worth of news reports. In School--

*wild and excited squawking*

Whoa whoa whoa! Okay okay! I get it! There's a note about the dorms today! We'll get to it, we'll get to it, I promise. But we have an order, okay? First, School. Flight & Flying had us designing our own starfighter and program it into the Danger Shop. And Cryptozoology asked everybody what their favorite cryptids are.

In Dorms--

*Loud noise-makers and drumming*

--because, yes, we have a Dorms note today. Henry was hanging up posters for a communal meal for Professor James Stark's class on Wednesday.

*Wild crowing*

Very good, porg friend. Anyway, moving on to Town, where chickens reigned supreme. At the Infinite Consortium, Professor Vess fought with a white chicken over who got to sit where. In Pizza Planet, Ray took everything with chicken off the menu and can these chickens stay all the time? That'd be great. And at Pick Your Poison, Dr. Isley was basically a chicken babysitter all day. And at the Clinic, the crab was jealous of the keen capes that the chickens had.

And that's all the notes. So this is ya girl Arden Finch, heading out to find today's weird Christmas magic stuff. But I'll leave you with Yo La Tengo's Eight Candles, in celebration of Hanukkah. Have a great day, Fandom!

"They don't work here, do they?" Stark asked when he saw the chickens in capes wandering around by the front Desk. "Or are they patients? Or just visitors?"

The nurses shrugged. "The crab just showed up one day. Why not chickens? And look how well dressed they are!"

"I do like their capes," Stark had to admit. So stylish!
"But I didn't bring them coffee. Or anything else. Can chickens even have coffee?"

Stabby, meanwhile, seemed to be pouting in his tank about not having a cape of his own. Poor crab.

The clinic was open and full of fancy fowl!

-am I supposed to be doing something with them? Why are there capes?

*chittering*

Oh, we're on. Good morning, this is Jaina and some capes wildlife with yesterday's news, because December is... December sometimes.

The pine trees at least had Rey in a good mood at Stark's, while Gregorith decorated the one at the museum. And Tony brought donut bribes for Steve and they talked about his cat behavior and whether the squirrels have forgiven him.

*begrudged chittering*

I think that's a "yeah, sure." That's all I've got. Good day to you and your chickens.

Yes, yes. I'm me again. And I brought rum to make up for... cat things. Happy?

*sullen chittering*

Take the rum. And let me read the single note and I'll be out of your fur. Good? Good. Ahem. Hello again, Fandom, this is Tony Stark with your news. Even if the news is just about Raiden setting up brunch at Over Easy in spite of the marshmallow rain before letting Jon know what holiday he partakes in for the season.

But that's all there is. And I'm getting out of here before the squirrels get riled up again. Have fun!

Good morning, everyone! It is a delight to be back with you, and to have thumbs again. You really don't appreciate your thumbs enough, you know. Kitty was quite right about that. Let's get on with the news, shall we? I hope the squirrels have brought me a tidbit of juicy gossip to celebrate my return to girlhood.

*chittering*

Ah. I am not to get my hopes up, it seems. Well, we'll see. At the school, Lord Thor told his students about 'lake-effect snow,' whatever that is, in Weather & Storms. I've no notes from the dormitory, but it seems that in the town, Detective Watts received word of thieving gnomes at the Trooper Station, where Mr. Grant joined him with luncheon and an umbrella. Ah, yes, I am rather glad my wardrobe did not suffer yesterday. At the forge, Mr. Henry was delighted to find the water had returned to the pipes, whilst at her warehouse, Miss Skywalker was trying to clean a woodchuck when she was joined by Dean Skywalker.

Well, the squirrels did not lie. Not an ounce of gossip in the lot. I am disappointed in you all. Do better for me next week, hmm? Until then, I bid you all a fond farewell, and am off to traipse through the confectionery in search of tea.

Good morning, everyone. If you haven't gone outside yet, it's snowing and making everything colorful.

*annoyed meowing*

Including Tony.

*more annoyed chittering*

And the squirrels, but I'm not going to give them baths. Let's get to the news, okay?

In classes, Liliana cancelled class due to excessive mistletoe, Belle was dealing with slightly less aggressive mistletoe in the library, and my class watched British people destroy s'mores.

*Tony meowing*

And my optimism a little bit, yeah. In town, Steven was doing a lot of work at the museum and Rey and Stark were very over the mistletoe. And that's everything! Have a great day.

*kissy noises*

No. Go harass someone else.

*louder, more insistent kissy noises*

I have the squirrel's rum and I have a lighter.

*marked absence of kissy noises*

Moving on. Up at the School, Health Education had Liliana substituting and talking herbs, while in the Library, Arden had to deal with dogs and gremlins and the pipes.

The Dorms and Town were both fairly quiet, with Adrian also having pipe issues at Pick Your Poison, while Pam considered the horrors.

*chittering*

I don't know, maybe if you'd written more specific notes we'd know what horrors.

Good morning. If you haven’t already tried do not try to shower you’ll regret it. Wait until tomorrow. It’s better that way. I promise.

*chittering*

No, I didn’t. I shower at night but I used the sink. So I know.

Right. It’s Wednesday. The island is odd and I hope you have bottled water if you need it. So now let’s talk about yesterday.

The School had the usual classes. Ghanima took her Reclaiming Your Childhood students sledding. Which could be fun, if it weren’t cold. Diplomacy students had to pretend to work in a call center and the squirrels seem extremely horrified. It’s like they’ve never met Anakin before. He’s like this. And my Dealing With Other People’s Trauma class was…mostly about me not liking winter and being frightened by yesterday’s reindeer which really isn’t funny even if Leroy is laughing.

Nothing from the dorms yesterday but a few notes from the town.

Adrian invited Rey to his grove to watch the reindeer.

And Kitty dealt with Tino trying to ride a reindeer and then Gregorith, who I still haven’t met yet, came in and they discussed the December oddness of the island.

*sounds of the happiest barking in the world*

Hey there Fandom--no, no, Ray, I don't think the squirrels wanna be friends, I'm sorry, we'll go to the park afterwards okay?--wait, where was I? Oh, right, what up, Fandom. It's me, ya girl, Arden Finch, and today is kinda a family affair. I've got Raiden and Gray here in the studio with me, but you won't be hearing from them much--

*more excited barking*

--Well, you won't be hearing from Gray much, because he's a sloth. And currently asleep. But anyway, yes, radio notes and then I promised someone W-A-L-K-I-E-S, so let's blitz through these.

School! Still happening, even in the face of ugly sweaters! Mine was all the birds from 12 Days of Christmas, so...yeah. Busy. But anyway, Flight and Flying had Professor Solo-Fel giving us defective Z-95 Headhunters to practice on. And in case anyone was wondering, she was in a sweater that had Santa being abducted by aliens. Professor Sims showed up to Cryptozoology in a sweater with kittens in stockings - aww, that sounds cute, but the squirrels are assuring me it was hideous - and talked about krampus. DON'T GET INTO THE BAG! Or, uh. You know. I heard. Anyway, How Not To Drown's class was cancelled because all the wetsuits turned into sweaters and...yeah sure why not? The real tragedy is that the squirrel who covered that beat - Jimothy - didn't write down what the sweaters looked like.

And you call yourself a journalist.

No Dorms, but in Town, the Magpie Emporium gave Vi an ugly sweater - a cat getting stabbed? the hell? - and Saffron was also in one, but I'm not reading that in case it's equally as traumatic. Professor Vess was in a purple sweater with the 'tits out' at Infinite Consortium and cranky about Erasmus being a raven - oh no! - before heading home to meet up with Mr. Scientia - in a green sweater that said 'I'm only here for the food' - so they could decorate their tree together, complete with special ornaments. Oh, that's so sweet! And Professor James was at the Clinic with an appropriately crab-festooned sweater, while Stabby rocked a sweater with knives. Which, yeah, sounds about right.

And fortunately that's about it, because I think Ray's enthusiasm is about to run away with him and me, so this is ya girl, Arden Finch, saying bye to everyone! And enjoy Mary, Did You Know by Pentatonix! Bye!

Stark had woken up in a new sweater.

At least it was warm? And he thought the other clinic staff might appreciate it.

Stabby had his own tiny sweater with extra arms. The pattern was knives. Of course.

The nurses had a variety of sweaters and so when Stark arrived with the coffees there were several minutes of admiring each other's unavoidable knitwear.

The clinic was open, kinda cozy, and the alien was in.

Morning, everyone. This is Jaina with Sunday's notes, and also a stupid Christmas sweater. I feel like they could have skipped the Santa, he's a creep and I'd rather not have him on my person, but what can you do?

Anyway. Yesterday gave us the polar bears and related, a pair of twins hopped up on caffeine- thanks, bears- which was new and strange for Gregorith at the museum, and not new for Rey at Stark's, though she apparently hadn't expected to get accosted by multiple bears.

Anywhere else that would be a weird thing to say.

That's all the notes, so I'm off to class. May your sweaters be less itchy than mine is.
